Might not end up in the book – maybe just one panel of the author telling the character she doesn’t die, but it’s fun for the first draft/learning book that this is. One of the main things I’m working on now is to be able to eyeball perspective better. This is important because not everything is in parallel or at easy angles to other things. If I’m going to draw higgledy-piggledy alleyways, I can’t be plotting endless vanishing points and trying to make them all look right together. The answer is to draw a lot, always trying to make it look 3-d.
