Writing Georgia

My protagonist has been changing and evolving as I learn how to draw her. Georgia is a committed revolutionary with “no time for love.”

You might notice that I was drawing Georgia as Black. I wanted to create a sort of Naughts and Crosses adventure story and it made sense to have a strong, Black, female lead.

So why have I decided to make her white? Well, I can’t drop Georgia Starry all alone into this world. She needed a mum and dad, a brother. and as I started to create them, and think of how they would survive in Victorian London, I realised I am not up to the task. Just too much risk of it looking lame or superficial.

Am I being over-cautious?

  1. Do you mind if I quote a few of your posts as long as I provide credit and sources back to your site?
My blog site is in the exact same niche as yours and my users would truly benefit from a lot of the information you present here.
Please let me know if this okay with you. Cheers!
